Shopping for a bidet can be challenging and time-consuming.
There are so many different features and it can be hard to know what you need and what you don’t.
I’m here to help clear up the confusion and let you know if you really need an air deodorizer and fancy technology such as Toto’s “Premist” mode.
In this review of the Bio Bidet BB-600 VS Toto C100 I’ll cover:
- In-depth differences between the spray modes offered (hint: the BB-600’s is 2.2x stronger)
- Differences in hygiene features and if you really need them
- Differences in warranty terms between the two units
Let’s jump right in.
So, what’s the difference between the Bio Bidet BB-600 and Toto C100?
The BB-600 and the Toto C100 both have warm air dryers, an attached control panel, and a tank heating system. The BB-600 offers a stronger water pressure, extra spray modes, and a longer warranty. The C100 has an air deodorizer, premist, and more advanced wand hygiene.

Shared features
These bidets are very much in the same price bracket, so there are a lot of similarities between them.
They’re aligned on most of the core features you’d expect a mid-range bidet to have.
- They both come with an attached control panel
- The panels’ layout is slightly different, but both are intuitive and easy to get your head around. They also both come with indicator lights, so you know what settings are activated.
- They both offer a heated seat with an intelligent sensor. The sensor makes sure the bidet seat will only operate when someone’s sitting on it.
- One-touch seat release for easy cleaning. No need to worry about not being able to put the seat back once you’ve taken it off!
- Both bidets have a slow-close lid and seat, which means no more SLAMS coming from the bathroom.
- They use the same tank heating system. The tank provides instant but limited hot water. More on exactly how much water later.
- Both come with a warm air dryer. Neither dryer will blow you away, but they will significantly reduce how much toilet paper you need to use.
- They share the oscillating spray mode, a feminine wash, and a rear wash. Both bidets also use an aerated water stream, meaning you can get the same efficient cleanse but using less water.
What’s different?
There’s also a lot of differences between the bidets. Some are features one bidet has that the other lacks, while others are differences in a shared feature.
I take you through them one by one, and you can decide if it’s a deal-breaker for you or not.
Air deodorizer (C100)
The Toto C100 has an air deodorizer. The BB-600 doesn’t.
Bathroom smells can linger for a surprisingly long time.
But with an air deodorizer, nasty smells don’t even get to leave the toilet bowl. When you’re using the toilet, the air from in and around the toilet bowl is filtered. The filter removes any foul odors.
The bathroom will be left as fresh-smelling as you found it (no matter what happened when you were on the loo).
I was pleasantly surprised by how well this feature worked. It could have been gimmicky, but it wasn’t. It did what it said on the tin.
Premist (C100)
Premist is a Toto exclusive feature and pretty cool. The C100 has it. The BB-600 doesn’t.
When you fry anything in a pan, what’s the first thing you do?
You oil the pan to stop anything from sticking.
Premist does the same thing but in your toilet. As you sit down, the bidet mists the toilet bowl with a light spray of water.
The water acts as oil and stops any dirt from sticking to the bowl. What does this mean for you?
No more skid marks and less frequent cleaning.
Water pressure
Just as Toto is known for its high quality, Bio Bidet is known for its strong water pressure.
The BB-600 has a maximum flow of 0.24 GPM compared to Toto’s 0.11 GPM.
Before you start thinking the C100 is rubbish, it’s actually about average. It’s just that the BB-600 excels in this area.
Water pressure isn’t necessarily an indicator of how well the bidet will clean you, but it certainly helps to have a more intense water stream.
Some people like the feeling of a firm water stream because it gives you more confidence that the bidet is doing its job.
How long will a tank of water last?
Both bidets use the same heating method – a warm water tank.
The tank provides instant hot water, but it’s limited. Eventually, the hot water will run out.
How long the hot water lasts depends on the tank’s size and the water pressure you’re using. The higher the water pressure, the faster the tank will run out.
How long will the hot water last on the Toto C100?
- Tank capacity = 20 ounces
- Highest water pressure = 14.5 ounces/min
At the highest water pressure, the warm water lasts 1 min 22 seconds.
How long will the hot water last on the BB-600?
- Tank capacity = 27 ounces
- Highest water pressure = 30 ounces/min
At the highest water pressure, the warm water lasts 54 seconds.
However, the Bio Bidets maximum pressure is more than double that of the Toto’s, so you’d expect it to run out faster. If we compare it at the same maximum flow rate as the Toto…
At a 14.5 ounces/min flow rate, the warm water will last 1 minute 51 seconds.
Note these timings are only guesstimates. In reality, as you’re using water from the tank, it’s being filled up with cold water from the mains. The water gradually turns from hot to cold rather than there being an instant change.
A typical wash cycle lasts 20 seconds. Both bidets will stay warm for this duration, but if you’re someone who likes a leisurely wash, you’re probably better off opting for a bidet that uses instantaneous heating.
Spray modes
The BB-600 offers a few more spray modes than the Toto C100.

They both have the basic front and rear washes and an oscillating (backward and forwards) movement.
The BB-600 also has a pulsating mode, often known as the ‘massaging mode’. It’s a series of short bursts of water that can blast stubborn bits of dirt off.
Kids mode is a complete wash and dry series with settings suitable for kids. It stops the kids messing around with all the settings and pressing multiple wrong buttons.
Auto mode is the same as kids mode, but for adults. It’s ideal for guests who are unfamiliar with the bidet, and for those times you’re in a real rush, so don’t have time to fiddle around with the settings.
Wand hygiene
A self-cleaning wand is pretty standard these days.
Unsurprisingly, both these bidets have one.
But the C100’s self-cleaning feature is slightly more sophisticated.
The BB-600 wand will rinse itself before and after use, but only from the outside. The C100’s wand will rinse itself inside AND out.
This helps prevent mineral or debris build-up inside the wand that can stop it from working at maximum efficiency.
The C100’s wand is also made of a unique material that repels water and dirt, meaning the self-cleaning mechanism is VERY effective.
But all is not lost for the BB-600.
It makes up for the lack of inside self-cleaning by having a removable nozzle head.
You can quickly take the nozzle head off and give it a good thorough clean. Then you can put it back confident there’s no build-up inside.
With the C100, you’re limited to wiping down the outside of the wand. You just have to have confidence the inside self-cleaning is doing its job.
Energy saver mode
Both bidets offer an economy mode. The aim is to help reduce the energy usage of the bidet.
When the bidets are in power save mode, the seat and water heater’s temperature are lowered.
But the C100’s system is more advanced than the BB-600’s.
With the BB-600, you have to turn energy saver mode on and off manually. Before you go to bed, you must remember to turn it on.
The C100 will AUTOMATICALLY detect low and no usage periods and turn on energy saver during these times.
You don’t have to remember to do it yourself. And let’s face it, once you’re in bed, there’s no way you’re getting out when you remember you didn’t turn on the BB-600’s low power mode.
Number of spray wands
The BB-600 has two spray wands, one for female cleansing and one for rear cleansing.
The Toto C100 packs this all into one spray wand.
The number of nozzles isn’t a big deal, but some people feel like two is more hygienic. The thought of using the same wand to clean your backside and your front regions grosses some people out.
But in reality, there’s no difference in hygiene. Both bidets also offer nozzle position adjustment so they’re able to reach wherever you want.
Dimensions and weight capacity
The Toto C100 has a bulkier look in the back and is 2 inches taller, but the BB-600 is wider.
You might notice with the C100 that you have to sit quite far forward on the seat due to the slope at the back. This isn’t a problem for most people, but if you’re on the larger side, you might find there’s not enough room for your junk (males anyway).
The weight capacities also vary.
The Toto C100 has Toto’s standard weight capacity of 320 lbs, while the BB-600 can hold up to 400 lbs.
Warranty
People don’t always pay attention to the warranty before it’s too late.
They’re a life-saver IF anything goes wrong. But they don’t last forever.
The Toto C100 offers a year-long warranty.
The BB-600 offers a two year limited warranty (100% coverage in the first year reducing to 75% in the second year).
The BB-600 also comes with the option to upgrade the warranty to six years FULL coverage. Full means 100% coverage every year.
Final thoughts
Both these bidets are jam-packed with features but with clear differences.
The BB-600 focuses on the basics. It has excellent water pressure and offers a better warranty.
The C100 focuses more on cleanliness with the air deodorizer and premist functions.
Personally, I’d for the Toto C100 because I like the extra hygiene features and I’m not too worried about water pressure.
But this is a personal preference. Neither bidet will disappoint.
Who should buy the BB-600?
If you want a solid bidet that will get the job done quickly and well, but don’t care for any fancy extras, go for the BB-600.
Who should buy the Toto C100?
If you’re looking for a bidet with a lot of extra features that make your life easier, go for the Toto C100.
It’s fantastic at washing you and fab at keeping your toilet clean.
