Choosing between bidets can be a daunting task, especially with so much confusing jargon online.
I’m here to help clear up the confusion and let you know if that wireless remote really is better than just the standard wired control panel. (Hint: I think it is).
In this review of the Bio Bidet BB-600 VS BB-1000 I’ll cover:
- How to decide if you need the BB-1000’s remote
- The differences in spray modes including the BB-1000’s vortex mode
- Differences in warranty terms between the two units
Let’s get right to it.
So, what’s the difference between the Bio Bidet BB-600 and BB-1000?
Both the Bio Bidet BB-600 and BB-1000 come with a heated seat, air dryer, heated water, and multiple spray modes. The BB-600 uses a side control panel whereas the BB-1000 uses a remote control. The BB-1000 also boasts an air deodorizer, vortex mode, and a 3-year limited warranty.

What’s Different?
This is what you came for, what are the points of difference between the two bidets.
Remote (BB-1000) vs Side panel (BB-600)
The biggest difference between the two bidets is the control mechanism.
- The BB-600 has an attached control panel on the side of the seat
- The BB-1000 has a wireless remote control
Both designs have their pros and cons. But for me, I think the remote is the better option.
Remotes don’t require any turning around or stretching to see the buttons. They’re right there in front of you.
For some, this isn’t a big deal. But I’d say people often overlook the convenience of a remote.
Note: the side panels on bidets are designed for right-handed users. If you’re left-handed you might find it takes some getting used to.
Removing the side panel gives the bidet a more streamlined look and means it takes up less room.
That being said, side panels can never go walkies, and you don’t have to worry about replacing the batteries.
Water pressure
If you’re after a powerful spray, look no further. The Bio Bidet BB-1000 has the strongest water pressure of any bidet on the market.
Lots of people opt to stick with the BB-1000 over more expensive models for the water pressure alone.
The BB-600’s flow rate is also pretty impressive, so neither will disappoint.
To give you some context, the BB-2000 (the newest Bio Bidet model) has a max flow rate of 0.185 GPM, and the Toto S550e (one of the most expensive and luxury bidets you can get) has a max flow rate of 0.11 GPM.
The spray nozzle
Single or double?
In a bar the answer’s always double (if it’s not, you’re doing it wrong).
With a bidet, the answer’s less clear cut.
The BB-600 opts for two spray nozzles while the BB-1000 has a single nozzle.
In the past double nozzles have been seen as superior because people felt they would allow for a better range of motion.
However, as technology has moved on this is no longer true. A single nozzle will have just as much reach as double nozzles.
PLUS, the single nozzle allows for more spray modes such as the vortex functions.
Vortex function (BB-1000)
The BB-1000’s newly designed spray nozzle brings with it a new spray mode.
The vortex water stream. Sounds impressive right?
It is.
The vortex spray releases a strong, targeted stream of water designed to get your bowels moving. It’s also helpful to have when you need an extra dose of cleaning power.
Air deodorizer (BB-1000)
Have you ever been the victim of walking into a STINKY bathroom?
The air deodorizer on the BB-1000 eliminates that risk.
From the moment you sit down to a few seconds after you get up the bidet filters the air in and around the toilet getting rid of any offensive odors.
Warranty
Never underestimate how important a warranty is. If you’ve never had to use one, you might not value them, but you’ll thank your lucky stars for the warranty if anything does go wrong.
The BB-1000 has a 3-year limited warranty, while the BB-600 only offers a 2-year limited warranty.
Date from original purchase | BB-600 | BB-1000 |
1 year | 100% Coverage | 100% Coverage |
2 year | 75% Coverage | 75% Coverage |
3 year | No coverage | 50% Coverage |
Both can be upgraded to a 6 year full warranty if you choose.
Dimensions
BB-1000: 18.7 (W) x 20.6 (L) x 7.3 (H)
BB-600: 21.3 (w) x 20.5 (l) x 5.6 (H)
*dimensions for an elongated seat
The control panel on the BB-600 adds another 3 inches onto the width of the bidet. The control panel also makes it very obvious you have a bidet, whereas the BB-1000 looks a bit more like a normal toilet seat.
Not everyone will mind this, but its something to consider.
The BB-1000 is slightly bulkier in the back with an extra 2 inches of height. This means there is a little bit more of a slope when you sit down on it, but nothing too noticeable.
Kids mode (BB-600)
Kids and bidets don’t always mix well.
They can get overwhelmed by the buttons and end up making a complete mess of the bathroom without actually ever going to the toilet.
The BB-600 includes an ingenious way to combat that… have one button that does everything labeled ‘kids’.
All they have to do is press that and it will automatically adjust the settings to suit a child and run a wash cycle.
The BB-1000 is missing this feature.
What’s the same?
The core luxuries
The bidets share most basic features, what I would call the ‘bread and butter’ of bidets.
These include:
- Oscillating, wide cleaning, pulsating, feminine cleaning, rear cleanse
- Bubble infusion (aerated water reduced water consumption and softens pressure without affecting cleansing ability)
- Quick-release seat for easy cleaning
- Slow closing seat
- Automatic power save
- Warm air dryer (250W)
- Intelligent body sensor (bidet will only operate when someone is sat on it)
- Heated seat
- Self-cleaning nozzle (automatic)
- A water heater (provides instant hot water, no need to wait for it to heat up)
Final Thoughts
Overall I think the BB-1000 offers much better value for money. It has more features, a stronger spray, and comes with a remote which is my preference when it comes to controls. It also has a longer warranty.
Who should buy the BB-600?
If you prefer a side panel to a remote control, then the BB-600 is the obvious choice.
Its also great if you’re looking for something simple but effective.
The BB-600 also has less of a learning curve than the BB-1000 because it has fewer functions.
Who should buy the BB-1000?
The BB-1000 is the best choice for anyone who’s looking to get great value for money and a luxurious bidet experience.
It’s more modern and has an impressive list of features for a great price.
