Toto K300 VS Bio Bidet BB-2000: What’s Best & Why

Looking for a luxury bidet but not sure which one’s best?

I’ve broken down the features of these two bidets and explained the differences so you can decide with confidence which one you want.

Here’s a quick summary of the Toto K300 VS Bio Bidet BB-2000.

Both the Toto K300 and Bio Bidet BB-2000 come with a heated seat, soft close lid, front and rear spray modes, and adjustable water pressure/temperature. The Bio Bidet BB-2000 has the strongest water pressure (0.7l/min), while the Toto K300 has a unique premist technology and user presets.

What’s the same

The bidets share a lot of features: the core luxuries, a warm air dryer, wireless remotes, single self-cleaning nozzles, enema/vortex mode, air deodorizer, and energy saver mode.

I explain each of these in more detail below if you’re unsure what they are. If you want to skip straight to the differences, click here.

The core luxuries

My self-coined phrase encompasses the ‘bread and butter’ features of a bidet.

Basically, everything you’d expect a bidet to have in order to function.

Thankfully, both the K300 and the BB-2000 pass this test and come with the expected core luxuries:

  • Heated seat
  • Soft-close lid
  • Adjustable water temperature and pressure
  • Adjustable wand position
  • Front and rear spray modes
  • Aerated water spray (bubble-infused for a softer spray with enhanced cleansing ability)

Wireless remotes

Toto K300 remote vs BB2000 remote

Wireless remotes are infinitely better than side controls. You’ll never struggle to reach them, and you’ll never press the wrong button again.

The remotes themselves look different, but they function in the same way.

Air deodorizer

Don’t judge me for saying this, but the air deodorizer has to be my favorite bidet feature.

It does away with bad smells by filtering the air in and around your toilet.

This means you never have to worry about the next person walking in and catching a whiff of something you’d rather they didn’t!

Warm air dryer

Bidet dryers aren’t as strong as traditional hand dryers, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t useful.

They can reduce the amount of toilet paper you use and dry you off hands-free.

The Toto K300 dryer is the strongest on the market, with an airflow of 10.24 ft3/min. While I don’t know the exact airflow of the Bio Bidet BB-2000, it was nearly as strong as the Toto one when I tested them.

Single, self-cleaning nozzle design (with enema mode)

Dual nozzles are a common sight on a bidet, but the K300 and the BB-2000 buck this trend.

Toto K300 vs BB2000 spray wand

Instead, both have just one single nozzle.

But don’t worry. This doesn’t take away from the performance.

The nozzles both have three holes: one for front cleansing, one for rear cleaning, and one for the vortex/enema function.

The vortex/enema mode is an extra powerful spray designed to shock your backside into action.

Both the spray wands self-clean inside and outside the wand. This reduces how often you need to clean them and gives you confidence that the water coming out is clean.

Energy saver mode

Lower energy consumptions is better for the planet AND your wallet.

When the energy saver modes are activated, the bidets lower the temperature of the heated seat and water. If you sit on the seat while energy saver mode is activated, the seat will quickly come up to normal temperature again.

I cheated a bit here because there is a slight difference in how you activate energy saver mode on the two models.

  • With the BB-2000, you need to turn on energy saver mode
  • The K300 automatically detects periods of low or no usage and turns on energy saver mode during these times

If you have a downstairs toilet no one ever uses during the night, the K300 will recognize this and turn the heaters off during these times. Clever, right?

Features the K300 has that the BB-2000 doesn’t

Premist

Premist is a strange concept if you’ve never come across it before.

gif of premist.

You can think of it in the same way as cooking oil. Without thinking, you oil your pan before you cook to stop anything from sticking.

Premist is the same. As you sit down, the bidet mists the toilet bowl with water. This thin layer of water prevents any dirt from sticking. So when you flush the toilet, you can be 100% sure there won’t be any skid marks.

Pretty genius if you ask me. No-one likes cleaning skid marks.

This feature is unique to TOTO washlets. No other brand has anything like it (at the time of writing – do let me know if this has changed!), so if this is something you want, go for the K300.

User Presets

If you’ve ever had the joy of sharing your car with your other half, you’ll know just how ANNOYING it is to have to readjust the mirrors every. single. time.

At least until every new car model started shipping with memory presets as standard.

The remote control on the K300 lets you do just that.

You can pre-program up to two different combinations of wand position, water temperature, and water pressure.

Pressing just one button recreates your EXACT preferences. Heaven in bidet form.

This isn’t possible with the BB-2000. You have to manually adjust the settings to your liking on each use.

Features the BB-2000 has that the K300 doesn’t

Pulsating mode & wide front cleanse

The Bio Bidet BB-2000 features two extra spray modes.

What more could the spray wand possibly do?!

Well, the pulsating mode does exactly what it says in the tin. It sprays water in short pulses to give a massaging effect. The mode is good for removing stubborn bits of dirt.

The wide front cleanse is one for the ladies. It offers a fuller coverage front spray that will clean you quickly and efficiently. It’s ESPECIALLY useful during your time of the month when things can get a little messy.

Nightlight

A life saver if you use the toilet during the night.

bb2000 nightlight

There is a soft blue light on the side of the BB-2000 that can guide you to the loo and prevent you from stubbing your toe, smashing into sharp corners, hitting your head off an open cupboard, or slipping on a wet patch.

(all things I have done on my way for a night time wee).

Differences in shared features

Water pressure

Bio Bidet’s USP is it’s high water pressure.

The BB-2000 has one of the strongest sprays you’ll find on the market (beaten only by its little sister, the BB-1000). The spray is 15-20% more powerful than the average bidet spray.

The K300’s spray pressure is slightly above average, so by no means weak.

The K300 will still clean you effectively. There’s no doubt about that. But if you’re after a strong and sturdy-feeling spray, the BB-2000 is the way to go.

Note: water pressure is very much a personal preference. Both the K300 and BB-2000 come with 5 adjustable pressure settings, so you can find the perfect pressure for you.

Nozzle material

  • The Bio Bidet BB-2000 has a stainless steel nozzle.
  • The Toto K300 uses antimicrobial plastic.

Most high-end bidets opt for a stainless steel nozzle because it is seen as a more expensive, better quality material.

The nozzle material has no effect on the force or feeling of the spray.

The main perceived difference is hygiene. Stainless steel wands are said to be easier to clean because, unlike plastic, they have no pores where dirt can collect. This means the self-cleaning function is very effective.

But the Toto washlet doesn’t use any old plastic. It uses a special plastic that repels particles so the self-cleaning mode can easily remove them.

At first glance, the BB-2000’s wand might look superior, but in reality both the wands are of the same standard.

Water heating system

How a bidet heats its water is one of its defining features. There are three ways the bidet can go about this. The tank method, the coil (instant) method, or the hybrid method.

different water heating methods bidet

The tank method is the most primitive, and is often found on cheaper bidets (so not on the K300 or BB-2000).

The K300 uses what I’ve coined at the coil method. The bidet heats the water on demand using a special coil. This method produces UNLIMITED hot water, but you might feel a second of colder water before it fully heats up.

However, when I tested the K300 I didn’t experience any cold shocks. The hot water was instant. Other users have also noted they’ve never felt any cold water. Not sure how Toto has managed it, but they have.

UNLIMITED hot water is also a benefit of the hybrid method, which the BB-2000 uses.

The hybrid system combines the coil with a small tank. The small tank of constantly heated water eliminates any risk of cold shocks.

Dimensions and weight capacity

Toto K300 vs Biobidet BB2000 dimensions

The Toto K300 is slightly more compact than the BB-2000. They’re both adequately sized for a standard man or woman.

But if you’re on the larger size, or want something slightly roomier, the BB-2000 is a better choice.

Furthermore, the BB-2000 has a significantly higher weight capacity at 450lbs compared to the K300’s 320 lbs.

Neither bidet comes with a sittable lid.

Warranty

The BB-2000 has a 3-year full warranty, while the K300 only has a one year warranty.

Final Thoughts

Both of these bidets are brilliant in their own right. It’s a tough decision to say which one truly is ‘best’. I recommend both quite frequently.

The fact that Bio Bidet offers such a generous warranty period would lead me to choose the BB-2000 over the K300.

But, the K300 simplifies the overall bidet experience and feels a little more premium and intuitive.

At the end of the day, only you can make the final decision on which bidet is best for you.

Who should buy the Bio Bidet BB-2000?

The Bio Bidet BB-2000 is the best choice for anyone who wants firm water pressure or anyone who wants a roomier, more supportive bidet.

Couple this with the generous extended warranty and the BB-2000 is a fantastic choice.

Who should buy the Toto K300?

The Toto K300 is the best choice for anyone who feels like they can’t live without the premist feature and its benefits (much less frequent cleaning!), and the simplicity of having single touch user prests.

It’s really difficult to go wrong buying the K300.
